3M Littmann Cardiology IV Stethoscope, High Polish Smoke Chestpiece - Navy Tube, Blue Stem & Black Headset
Description
The 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV™ Stethoscope is designed for clinicians who require outstanding acoustic performance combined with exceptional versatility. Its functional design provides a single-piece tunable diaphragm on each side of the chestpiece, letting clinicians hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. The dual-lumen tubing combines two sounds paths in one tube, eliminating the rubbing noise that traditional double tubes create. Not just for cardiologists, this stethoscope is ideal for a variety of healthcare professionals to identify, listen to, and study cardiac, lung, and other body sounds in adult and pediatric patients.
3M Littmann® Cardiology IV Stethoscopes are more than twice as loud as the next leading stethoscope, allowing you to more reliably and consistently hear heart sounds at lower frequencies (below 120Hz) like Korotkoff sounds, Mitral Stenosis and S3 and S4 Gallops when compared to other leading stethoscopes. This is based on tests against globally available comparable stethoscopes in an equivalent class using recorded heart sounds with a diaphragm. The Littmann Cardiology IV Stethoscope also weighs less than other stethoscopes, based on published weights of globally-available comparable stethoscopes in an equivalent class.
The 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV Stethoscope's distinctive, chalice-shaped chestpiece delivers outstanding acoustic performance, diagnostic versatility, and convenience for treating adult and pediatric patients. Both sides of the chestpiece have single-piece diaphragms that are easy to remove and clean, while the pediatric side of the chestpiece easily converts to a traditional open bell by removing the tunable diaphragm and replacing it with the included non-chill bell sleeve. Listen to, identify, and diagnose even the most subtle body sounds through the power of tunable diaphragm technology. Simply hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low-frequency sounds and increase pressure incrementally to hear higher-frequency sounds. Dual lumen tubing combines two sounds paths in one tube, eliminating the rubbing noise that traditional double tubes create. Stain-resistant, durable, and designed for the healthcare environment — choose the 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV Stethoscope
